It takes significant time, energy and funding to support the Hillsborough Youth Lacrosse program and make the season as enjoyable as possible for your child. The program registration fee does not cover all the costs to run the program. A key source fundraising is derived through operation of the tournaments we host during the season. As such, each player's Parents will be required to volunteer their time during our home tournaments / games. This approach will equally distribute the responsibility to all members of the organization for raising funds to support the program.
Each Family is required to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours in support of the organization during our tournaments. Other volunteer needs are tournament set-up/clean-up, apparel sales, parking, etc. There are numerous opportunities for Parents to fulfill their workbond obligations. It is also requested that Families split their 4 hour volunteer shifts across the tournament weekends.
Failure to return all loaned or rented equipment by the end of the season or a failure by the Parent to fulfill their workbond obligation will result in forfeiture of the Workbond / Equipment deposit. All Workbond / Equipment deposits will automatically roll over to the next season unless a request for a refund is made prior to the start of the next the season. The opportunity to receive a refund or your Workbond /Equipment deposit will be forfeited if not requested by the 1st day of practice for the next new season.
Scheduling & Registration
All families will be notified when volunteer registration is available prior to each tournament weekend. When open, a Volunteer Signup menu option will appear under the Volunteer Corner menu on the left side of the home page.
